15 Jan Ask StoryOne – January
In Ask StoryOne, we answer real questions brought to us by real families. These are the important questions that shape decisions about wealth, legacy, and purpose.
Each Ask StoryOne feature spotlights one question. We share insight shaped by years of experience, grounded in mission, vision, and values.
How does StoryOne integrate faith into planning?
For many of the families we serve, generosity is not a tactic, strategy, or line item. It is a calling rooted in faith and stewardship. Psalm 24:1 reminds us, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” With that truth as our foundation, we approach wealth, business, and legacy as resources entrusted to us by God, to be stewarded wisely and used for His purposes.
Stewardship shapes how we think about ownership, responsibility, and impact. Rather than asking only what we can accumulate or preserve, we ask how each decision can faithfully honor what has been entrusted to us. This perspective invites a broader view of what faithfulness can look like in practice. For one family, stewardship may mean leading a business well across generations, caring for employees, and strengthening a local community. For another, it may involve transitioning ownership or directing significant resources toward charitable or Kingdom-focused initiatives. Either path can be deeply Christ-led when it flows from prayer, discernment, and obedience to the mission God has placed on a family’s heart.
Our role is not to prescribe a single “right” outcome, but to walk alongside families as they discern their calling and steward their resources accordingly. We help align wealth with faith, values, and long-term purpose so it becomes a tool for meaningful impact. When stewardship and faith guide the planning process, the result is a legacy that blesses not only the family, but also employees, communities, and ministries for generations to come.
Key Takeaways: Faith-driven, stewardship-centered planning aligns wealth with God’s purpose, ensuring every decision reflects faithful responsibility, generosity, and lasting impact.
