Michelle enjoys both the energy of being on camera and the satisfaction of making everything behind the scenes come together seamlessly. Her ability to anticipate needs, organize details, and keep projects moving helps the StoryOne team do its best work. Whether coordinating logistics, supporting internal initiatives, or ensuring nothing falls through the cracks, she brings a calm, thoughtful presence that helps everything run smoothly.
Born in Iowa and raised throughout the Midwest, Michelle’s love for storytelling began early. After being cast in a college theatrical production while still in the eighth grade, she developed a passion for music, theater, and the performing arts that ultimately led her to earn a degree in Vocal Music Education from Northwest Missouri State University. She later taught high school vocal music before transitioning into acting, modeling, and leadership roles in talent management and casting.
Michelle spent nearly a decade at Hallmark as a Casting Director, coordinating talent and productions for print, voice-over, and video campaigns while continuing her own acting career. After stepping away from her professional career to focus on raising her three daughters, she returned to the workforce in financial services before joining StoryOne.
Throughout every season of her career, one theme has remained constant: helping people thrive. Whether coordinating a production, organizing complex projects, or supporting an executive team,
Michelle finds joy in anticipating needs, bringing clarity to the details, and creating an environment where others can do their best work. She believes every interaction is an opportunity to serve others with integrity, excellence, clear communication, and genuine care.
Michelle was drawn to StoryOne because of its authentic, relationship-centered approach to serving families. She believes the firm’s commitment to understanding each family’s story, not simply their finances, reflects the kind of work that makes a lasting difference. That shared commitment to people, service, and meaningful relationships is what makes StoryOne feel like home.
Outside the office, Michelle enjoys traveling with her husband, Jon, and their three daughters, especially to the mountains or the beach. She volunteers at her daughters’ school, teaches Sunday school, and supports Isaac’s Dream, a nonprofit founded by her brother and sister-in-law that expands educational opportunities for children in Ghana. She also enjoys movies, Bible study, walking, discovering a great cortadito, and occasionally returning to the screen for commercial and film projects.
Michelle considers her faith to be the foundation of her life and is guided by Proverbs 3:5–6. She hopes every person she encounters leaves feeling valued, encouraged, and genuinely cared for.
