Why did you decide to launch your own firm?
For years we’ve had the picture in our minds of a firm that is tailor-made to serve our clients, in a way that aligns with our clients’ needs and our core values while continuing to provide the highest level of service.
Will the team remain the same?
Yes, I’m excited to say that our entire team is coming with us to our new firm. Even better, we’ve made some strategic additions to the team, starting with the addition of Kenny Conklin.
Kenny is joining our team as COO, and partner. First, Kenny is a friend and second, he has an extensive background in public markets trading, alternative investments, technology start-ups, and has worked in the family office environment.
Were there other considerations for this change?
Yes. Culture is very important to us—our culture of putting each client’s story at the forefront of everything we do.
Another benefit of launching this firm is that it allowed us to select the custodian. We have done a tremendous amount of due diligence to find a custodian that aligns with our service commitments and growth trajectory. We believe Raymond James offers best in-class solutions that deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Will you be implementing new investment models?
We plan to maintain our current investment models.
Our focus will continue to be offering comprehensive financial planning for business owners and families that have complex financial planning needs, while offering institutional style investments.
Will clients see any impacts to their current investment strategies?
Initially, there will be no wholesale changes to any investments or models. Our new investment platform offers open architecture, so we will not be required to sell or exchange any existing investments.
What about existing investments?
We are working to secure a selling agreement, which will allow any investments our clients have to stay as they are. Any “off platform” investments will stay as they are, and we will have access at our new firm.
How much change will be felt by clients?
Clients will continue to work with their current advisor or team member for any service requests or money movements.
We plan to keep our same office location, phone and numbers. Our emails will change to reflect our new firm’s URL.
Because we are changing custodians, clients will have a new login at Raymond James which will also provide monthly account statements, and annual tax reporting.
How did you decide on the name for your new firm?
We strongly believe in the power of story--the unique story that each person creates through their life. We put that story first in everything our new firm does…because it’s only by understanding a person’s story, the heart of who they are and what they believe, that we can provide the guidance they need to fulfill their life’s purpose. So, our new firm will be led by the same people you know and trust, with new and more powerful ways to deliver even greater support for our families’ unique stories.
